|Often lost in thought/Dreamy||Charismatic||Weak||Empathetic||Maternal||Protective||Quiet|

:bulletgreen: |Charismatic| "Hello there. It's very nice to meet you."
Willow is often seen as charming and friendly when she does make the rare decision to socialize with other pack members (or if she is somehow forced to talk to someone). Despite her reclusive behavior, she hasn't lost her ability to appeal to others and perhaps become acquaintances with them. Not many stick around though, due to her spending so much time on her own, many begin to feel like she might be ignoring them, but, normally, Willow is just trying to make sure she doesn't get too close to them for their own safety.

:bulletgreen: |Maternal|
"Are you okay, hun? Is there anything I could do to help?"
With her mother being such a negative impact on her early life, Willow has felt the need to be a more positive female influence on the lives of those around her. She doesn't wish anyone to think or feel like she did after the death of her two siblings and wishes for everyone to feel important and loved in some way or another. While Willow doesn't get close to others, she wouldn't be able to resist helping someone in need of assistance. If a pup were without a mother, she would willingly step forward (though very, very timidly), or if someone were injured and unable to hunt, she would ensure that they were fed and properly taken care of.

:bulletgreen: |Protective|
"Back off, you mangy mutt! What the hell did she do to you anyways?"
Due to her inability to help keep her siblings from drowning when she was younger, Willow has grown to be very protective over other pack members. Any way that she could possibly defend them, as long as it didn't involve actually fighting, she would do it. This also stems from her subconscious need to redeem herself spiritually after becoming a 'murderer' as her mother put it.

:bulletgreen: |Empathetic|
"I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm sure it was really rough to deal with."
Due how much mental stress she went through as a adolescent, Willow is rather acute awareness of how others might feel based on different circumstances and situations. One of her worst fears is to bring harm to someone like she did to her siblings or treat someone even remotely similar to how her mother treated her. Willow wishes to rectify her self-worth and cleanse her guilty mind by treating others the way she wishes she were treated when she were younger: with tender love and care as well as friendliness.

:bulletblack: |Often lost in thought/Dreamy|
".... Wait... were you talking to me?"
Willow can often be found staring aimlessly into the distance as if locked in some sort of trance. She loves the outdoors and the beauty of nature, and while her motives of being alone aren't for her own enjoyment, she has found some joy in daydreaming and observing the wilderness. If someone were to start talking to her during one of these times, she might not notice them unless they were standing right in front of her. It wouldn't be from wanting to ignore them, but from not being used to others actually wanting to talk to her in general.

:bulletblack: |Cautious|
"Wait! We should check the surrounding area first to make sure it's safe."
Willow is very cautious about the unknown and, well, just about everything else as well. She doesn't want to get hurt or be put into a dangerous situation, so it's not uncommon to find her looking around a particular area for several minutes before she eventually goes about her business. The world is a dangerous place, and for a lone wolf, it can be even more so.

:bulletred: |Weak|
"I'm not a fighter... I'm strong enough to be valuable hunting, but when it comes to a brawl, I'm not your girl, and please don't be mean about it."
Due to her friendly nature and small size, she isn't much of a fighter. She would much rather solve a problem with her words than her teeth or claws, and when it comes down to a fight, she would probably be more likely to run and hide than stick around and fight. Willow is also not the most stable-minded when it comes to others insulting or being mean to her. It's not uncommon for her to take things a little too personally at first and be upset if someone were to say something to her that she thought was mean, but after some time to sit and think, Willow will calm down and realize that she might have been the one in the wrong.

:bulletred: |Quiet| "Whatever you'd like is fine..."
Willow is not one to voice her own opinion when it comes to making decisions about things. This often leaves her not getting what she wants or deserves. She might hint here or there that she might not really like something, but she more than likely wouldn't outright say that she didn't want something someone else wanted in fear that she would make them angry. Willow tries to avoid arguments as much as she can though, if it is unavoidable, she tries to be as civil as she can be.

History

Before Birth:
Lily was a Hunter and a good one at that. She was a sleek, white female with an aura about her that radiated like the sun... or so Morpheus thought when he first laid eyes on the huntress. He had been assigned to hunt with a different party than he was used to hunting with, and at first, he thought it would be a total drag and a waste of his time to hunt with wolves he knew nothing about, but with this new development, he was suddenly interested in at least trying.
The hunt when on as scheduled, but as they were tracking what appeared to be a herd of deer, a cry split the silence of the woods. Morpheus turned his head to see the she-wolf from earlier with her paw stuck and twisted in the root of a tree, and as she pulled it out, it was obvious that the hunt was over for her. Without missing a beat, he stepped forward to the leader of the hunt with a determined nod of his head. "I can take her back, sir. That way the hunt can still go on." The other wolf nodded solemnly with a worried glance in her direction before parting ways with the rest of the hunting party. "Damn it.... I can't believe that I was this clumsy." Lily hissed under her breath, turning her attention toward the wolf that had stayed behind to help her. He was handsome with a strong, muscular build, and his green eyes were captivating as they stared at her. Trying to take a step forward, she instantly regretted it, wincing as pain shot up her leg. Morpheus walked forward and without hesitation ducked under her to lift her smaller frame onto his back. Lily's eyes widened in shock but lessened as he began moving back toward home. "I'm Lily by the way. You know I don't normally let someone carry me around like this without taking me on a date first." She heard the deep, resonating sound of the wolf's laughter beneath her before he responded. "Oh trust me, I'd much rather this be the other way around with me on top... but this will have to suffice." Morpheus joked back, hearing the little gasp that left Lily's mouth as she wrapped her mind around his words, and he couldn't help but grin as he imagined the blush that was probably on her face. "My name is Morpheus. Maybe sometime we can see about that date you mentioned?" He asked curiously, turning his head back slightly to see her face. Lily grinned at him with a coy expression. "Morpheus, I literally just met you, and you're asking me on a date?" The male chuckled as a small smile played across his face. "I think I'd enjoy that." She eventually spoke, resting her head on his neck while he trekked back the way they had come.
Lily saw none of Morpheus while she was healing from her twisted paw, and when she was finally able to walk without pain, she began her search for her mysterious helper to thank him for carrying her all the way back to her home. After her long, extensive search, she eventually found him and thanked him for his kindness. It was then that Morpheus asked her out again, and a few days later, the two went out on their first date, and after that, the two of them started seeing each other more and more, quickly becoming inseparable.
After they had been seeing each other for close to a year, Lily confessed that she wanted to be official and have his pups, and that is how Willow's story began.

Puphood (0-2):
Willow was born to a litter of six pups that spring, and the two new parents couldn't have been more proud and happy at the sight of the little bundles that were their children. They were happy at first, naming each of the pups and watching them slowly grow until they had their eyes open and were taking their first steps. The stress of how to raise the pups was beginning to pressure Morpheus and Lily though, and they often found themselves fighting and arguing about the littlest of things. It was this that drove Morpheus away from the she-wolf that she had fallen in love with. He had grown tired of the constant fighting, and while his departure saddened Lily, she was much too prideful in her ways to work it out with him or apologize. In her eyes, she had done nothing wrong except wanting the best for her pups even if Morpheus had had other ideas for them.

With the absence of their father, Lily had to leave Willow and her siblings with their grandparents whenever she had to work, not that Willow minded. She missed her father, but their grandparents always seemed to have something for them to do that was exciting and fun. One of Willow's favorite things being the tales of adventure that they told the pups. They told them all of the mischief that they had found themselves in during their younger years along with stories of the pack's past. It was all so intriguing to the young Willow, and she hung on every word that they told them, hoping that one day she too could have grand adventures of her own. These stories led to Willow's mind wandering off occasionally as she daydreamed of her own exciting adventures, and she found herself anxiously awaiting the day when she was old enough to embark on her journeys.

Adolescence (3-Current):
As Willow grew older, so did her adventurous spirit. Of course, at such a young age, seeing potential dangers in a plan to see a lake nearby never crossed her mind. The young wolf took two of her siblings with her on her little adventure, and the three of them made it successfully away from their mother and into the wilderness. They played and joked around with each other, pretending that they were a hunting party on the search for prey. Willow had never had this much fun in her life! The giggles of her siblings filled her ears until it was interrupted by the brief glimpse of the lake ahead. Willow burst through the last of the vegetation in their way to see the beauty of the lake before her. "I bet everyone will be so jealous if we told them we learned to swim by ourselves. Maybe the pack will even think we could be scouts or something." One of her siblings said, placing a paw into the cool water. Willow watched rather nervously as he walked further into the water that lapped at his ankles, and he was soon followed by her other sibling. The two of them walked further and further into the water, giggling and playing as they went while Willow was frozen on the bank. "Y-you guys... I don't think this is a good idea. What if..." Before she even got the chance to finish, she heard the splash her sister and brother falling into a deeper part of the water and their cries as the water swallowed them up. Her heart clenched in her chest, and her legs had stiffened in fear. 'No no no no no.... this couldn't be happening.'  Willow's gaze swept out over the large body of water to see if her siblings were still out there, but as far as her eyes could see, she only saw the dark stillness of the lake. Her eyes filled with tears, and when she shook her head in disbelief, they fell to the dirt beneath her. Her siblings were gone... drowned in the lake that she had taken them to. This was her fault. 'I killed them.'

Willow spent hours beside that lake awaiting for her siblings to return back to her side, waiting for them to tell her this was just some elaborate prank. But neither of them came, and the only sounds that could be heard were the grasses blowing in the breeze and her own quiet sobs of grief. The young wolf finally works up the courage and energy to make her way back home where she is questioned about where she had been and where her other two siblings were. Willow couldn't make eye contact with anyone as she told the horrible tale of her siblings' death, and she could only imagine the angered, mortified look on her mother's face based on the screaming and howling that followed the end of her words. "You naive, stupid, stupid child! What have you done? You murdered your siblings with your foolishness, and here I thought that I raised you to be a clever member of the Nimari. You are nothing but a murderer." Her mother's words hit her ears like fire, scorching what little hope she had had that everything would be okay and her mother would make everything all better. She was worthless and would never excel in a community built on craftiness and wits, and things would only be worse with everyone thinking she was a cold-blooded killer. In her eyes, it might have been better if she had drowned too. As her mother chased her out of the house and away from the rest of her siblings, Willow was too distraught with sorrow and disbelief to argue, and the young wolf took off in the only direction she could think of: her grandparents, who were the only wolves, aside from her mother, who had been stable in her life. When she arrived, she was so out of breath from panting and crying that the two elders couldn't even understand the words she was trying to say, and they sent her to one of their spare rooms to lie down and calm herself to the point where she could tell them what happened. It took awhile for her to eventually gather herself enough to tell her the horrible things that had happened to her, and as the words spilled out of her, Willow squeezed her eyes shut, expecting the same lash of anger and disappointment she had gotten from her mother. Instead though, she felt an unexpected touch as her grandmother wrapped her in a hug, cooing softly to her. "Dear, it was an accident. None of this was your fault despite what your mother had told you. The Great Spirit decided it was their time, and it would have found another way if you hadn't been at the lake." Her grandmother solemnly explained to her. Willow had been taught about the Great Spirit, but she had never heard about the it taking wolves from this world and into the next simply because it was their 'time'. Part of her didn't buy that this wasn't her fault but having them there to comfort her was a blessing.

Willow moved in with her grandparents after that day, and her mother secluded herself and the rest of her pups from them. She began spending a lot of time by herself, sitting in meadows and staring up at the sky while she imagined a better world. One where her mother still loved her and she had all of her siblings to rely on. Instead of making friends, Willow punished herself for getting her siblings killed by secluding herself from the pack and preventing herself from making close friends. For her, it was safer for the rest of the pack and anyone who might dare come near her that she spent most of her time alone. After the accident she had been involved in, she believed herself to be cursed, and if anyone were to get too close to her, they would probably end up hurt or dead just like her siblings. With all of this time and silence, Willow began to learn from the Shaman about the plants and herbs that grew in their territory as well as their potential usefulness in medicine. Surely if she spent her time trying to help others through this, that would rectify herself in the Great Spirit's eyes, and maybe, just maybe, if she spent all of her time doing selfless acts of kindness and good deeds, she could one day settle down in peace that she and the rest of her family could be proud of her.

In current times, Willow practices her stealthiness by trying to be as invisible as possible within the pack, in fear that if she were to make any close friends, she would only end up hurting them or getting them hurt. She spends most of her time making potions and medicines from plants in the surrounding area to help the injured and sickly. Having moved out of her grandparent's home, she lives by herself on the outskirts where wolves in need can come and purchase the poultices she has made. One day she hopes to end her loneliness, but for now, she still thinks it is far too dangerous for anyone to be too close to her (emotionally and physically). Hopefully, the Great Spirit will someday show her some sort of sign that being in her presence won't cause anyone harm, and Willow often looks for any sort of sign. For now though, she quietly awaits the day and helps others through the medicines that she makes.

RP example:
Ryder | Serora | Medicine Horse

It was a chilly night that their leader, Osprey, had chosen to embark on their journey into the Sear to the distant temple to seek answers to their drought. Ryder was surprised that he had been chosen to accompany the Sultan and the rest of this caravan on such an important journey, but when he had been asked, he hadn't hesitated. His son's well-being and life was at stake if they didn't solve this problem and find more food and resources. The days had been long and hot, and even with his gift of water manipulation, he hadn't been able to keep what few crops he grew near his home in the Zuiseset alive.

The hippocampus's ears perked up toward Osprey as the leader began to instruct them on the route they would take. His blue eyes scanned the desert around them, glancing up at the stars as he sent up a silent prayer to whichever god or goddess might be listening up there to keep them all safe and to protect the lives of the Serorans. Ryder nodded silently at Osprey's words, agreeing that it would be the easiest and best way to travel through the dunes to their destination. They would need to make as much ground as possible before the sun rose again, and if anyone was thirsty, the air was cool enough that it might be possible for him to draw water from it or perhaps create a small rain cloud since the sun wasn't up to evaporate it. 'We need to succeed at this, figure out what's wrong and what we need to do to solve it. I can't let my son die... not after all the loss and heartbreak he's already suffered recently.' Ryder thought with a quiet sigh to himself as he followed along with the horses beside him.
